There's no question of the benefits of a lighter flywheel. The question that comes up for years now is still the UDP. If you look around you'll see all the major companies that make high performance clutches also have light weight flywheels that come with their kits. These are all racing twin, triple and carbon clutches ( HKS, OS, RPS, Nismo, Exedy, ATS, JWT and so on). Yes, the interia is needed, but it seems the rapid acceleration and RPM speed shift matching far out weight the heavier wheel. Not to mention the Hp transfer gained from the lighter wheel to the rear wheels.
